Feel @Home Realty Addresses Concerns Highlighted in National Association of …

Morristown, NJ, September 30, 2015 –(PR.com)– The National Association of Realtors (NAR) released its D.A.N.G.E.R. Report in May 2015 highlighting the challenges realtors face. While many are uncertain how to address these challenges, Charles J. Hendershot solves them head on before the industry becomes obsolete and irrelevant. Mr. Hendershot is the founder and CEO of Feel @Home Realty.

Mr. Hendershot commented, “Our industry has been based on having a monopoly on the transaction data of home sales. The Internet, technology, and the ubiquity of data and information available to customers has changed how society and business function. However, the residential real estate industry has remained the same over the last 50 years, even though today’s customer is very tech-savvy and knowledgeable. It is remarkable how resistant to change we’ve been.”

The report, conducted by the Swanepoel T3 Group based on a survey of over 7,500 brokers and agents across the country, listed these issues as affecting real estate agents:

– part-time, untrained, unethical, and/or incompetent agents destroy the credibility of the industry;
– current commission levels are unsustainably high;
technology and easy access to data makes the traditional service of agents and brokers irrelevant; and
– the IRS push to reclassify agents from independent contractors to employees upends the industry staffing model.

“The D.A.N.G.E.R. Report highlights how the industry will need to adapt to the digital age. Being a realtor for nearly 20 years, I agree with the observations highlighted in the D.A.N.G.E.R. Report. Feel @Home Realty addresses the change in customer expectations by changing what we do, how we do it, and how much we charge,” observes Mr. Hendershot.

Feel @Home Realty approaches residential real estate by taking a customer-centric view. The Company addresses the customer’s pain points throughout the buying and selling process. For sellers, Feel @Home Realty provides an expert, dedicated marketing and sales strategy team. For buyers, the Company provides dedicated transaction specialists to ensure a smooth closing. The employees at Feel @Home Realty specialize in sales, marketing or transaction processing. Most real estate companies have one person responsible for all three functions. Additionally, all business processes leverage the latest technologies. Combining technology with dedicated specialists, allows the Company to dramatically lower costs, improve compliance, and allow for a consistent customer experience.

Hendershot concludes, “The digital age has broken our data monopoly. Sites like Zillow and Trulia already provide comprehensive home information free to consumers. It was time to create a company that addressed customers’ pain points. Technology advances and specialization allow us to provide value, cut standard commissions in half, and earn a fair profit.”
