Colvin heads Realtors Association of NM

Click photo to enlargeCathy Colvin, CRS, Associate Broker at Vista Encantada REALTORS of Albuquerque, has begun her term as 2013 President of the REALTORS Association of New Mexico (RANM).

Colvin earned her real estate license in 1993 and has been selling homes, advancing her real estate education, and starring in volunteer leadership roles ever since.

In 2006 she served as Chairman of the Board of the Greater Albuquerque Association of REALTORS and in 2005 was named their Sales Person of the Year and in 2008 was named their REALTOR of the Year.

Cathy has also held leadership roles in the New Mexico CRS Chapter; was named New Mexico CRS Specialist of the year in 2006 and served as President of the New Mexico Chapter in 2009.

She’s been a member of numerous NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS’ (NAR) Committees and is very excited and honored to be recently selected as a member of the 2013 Class of NAR’s Leadership Academy.

She has served as a member of the New Mexico Real Estate Commission Education Steering Committee and was a member of the NM PRC Title Insurance Task Force.

Other 2013 Executive Committee members include: President Elect Sandylee Pasquale, Albuquerque; Treasurer Baro Shalizi, Santa Fe; Immediate Past President Debbie Rogers, Silver City; Central District Vice President Carol Bernstein, Albuquerque; Northeast District Vice President Victoria Murphy, Santa Fe; Northwest District Vice President Lela Holmes, Farmington; Southwest District Vice President Michelle Martin, Las Cruces; Southeast District Vice President Connie DeNio, Roswell; and Secretary, M. Steven Anaya, RANM in Santa Fe.

2013 RANM officers and directors will be installed January 24 at the Inn and Spa at Loretto, Santa Fe, as part of RANM’s Legislative, Leadership, and Business Meetings.
