Andrew Donohue, a Realtor® with RE/MAX Centre in Jamison, was presented with the Realtor® Active in Politics Award recently in Harrisburg. Given by the Pennsylvania Association of Realtors®, the award recognizes exemplary legislative volunteerism on behalf of the association.
As a member of the Bucks County Association of Realtors®, Donohue has worked tirelessly to help create an atmosphere conducive to homeownership. He’s served on the board of directors of the Suburban Realtors Alliance for 14 years and as its chair in 2006.
At the state level, Andy has served on the Pennsylvania Association of Realtors® Legislative Committee and is a legislative key contact for both Reps. Scott Petri and Marguerite Quinn. He’s dedicated to representing PAR interests during annual hill visits in Harrisburg.
“Andy Donohue has been an invaluable legislative advocate on behalf of homeowners,” said Pennsylvania Association of Realtors® President Todd Polinchock. “He’s been a fantastic ambassador for more than 15 years.”
In addition, Donohue has been the National Association of Realtors®’ federal political coordinator for Rep. Mike Fitzpatrick, helping to explain the importance of real estate issues like the federal mortgage interest deduction, the National Flood Insurance Program and the Consumer Mortgage Choice Act.
A graduate of Villanova University, Donohue and his wife Myra, reside in New Britain Township. They have two children, five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
